Thank you to those of you who were genuinely trying to help. Since this is a non-internet-connected network and I live in bum**** nowhere, vulnerabilities are nonexistent. However, I'm a stubborn sort of individual and I set my music folder on my computer to be public, then went in on my phone controller to find it and add it to my music library as a shared folder. He also said there was no way to retrieve the music without an upgrade to the computer or moving my entire collection to a different device. He also said I'd have to buy a whole new computer in order to make my server work again. He said the update knocked my speakers off the server and that yeah, future updates should probably warn users of that before the system gets bricked. When I went to reinstall it (fresh download from the site), the installer keeps giving me an error: "The operating system is not adequate for running Sonos." Thoughts?Įdit: spoke with a Sonos rep. However, the controller on my computer got stuck in an update loop, so I uninstalled it. I recently added another Play 3 to my system and went through the usual rigmarole of updating the controllers, devices, etc (this is usually an offline network so it's not affected by updates, but the downside is that I have to catch up when I add a new device once in a blue moon). Get all the information you need to update your Samsung PC to the latest version of Windows. I have a computer dedicated to running the music services in my house-Windows 7, 64-bit, older Dell Latitude but it's worked will for a while.
